Subject: Hesston Public Library: Grand Opening & Much More!
Hello, everyone! We've got a
lot on the agenda in the coming weeks, so here's a quick wrap-up:
- We will close at noon on
Friday, Oct. 29, to prepare for our big move! We will be closed the
following week (Nov. 1-6). Some of our items will be moved prior to our
closing, and we will not be accepting Interlibrary Loan requests after
tomorrow, because otherwise items will not arrive before we close. There
will be no story hour on Nov. 3. We ask for your patience as we make the
transition!
- Our Grand Opening will be
from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 7, at the new library, 300 N. Main St. We
will begin with a ribbon cutting at 2 p.m., followed by an open house with
door prizes, refreshments, and a chance to see your wonderful new library!
We will reopen for regular hours beginning Monday, Nov. 8.
- As we work to better serve
you, we'd like to know what you think! There is a short (9-question)
survey online available here
that we would appreciate you filling out. Your feedback means a lot to us!
- We want to thank Bill's
Barbershop, Hesston College and Lincoln Perk for helping us raise funds
for our new building through two separate fundraisers yesterday! We
continue to accept donations to help furnish our new library. After all,
we're not done yet!
- The Hesston Area Seniors are
hosting a Soup & Pie Dinner on Monday, Nov. 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the
Senior Center. Donations will be accepted for the meal, with proceeds
benefiting the library.
- As always, stay tuned to our
website at www.hesstonpubliclibrary.com
for more information and up-to-date information!
We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you in
the new library soon!
