Here's an update on what is happening in the next couple of weeks: * Dan Dan the Magic Man will be here at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday) at the Hesston High School Auditorium. This event is for kids of all ages, and parents are encouraged and invited to attend. The 40- minute show will feature magic, live animals and more. Admission is free, and the event is co-sponsored by Hesston Recreation and Community Education and the library * This Sunday, July 11, is your chance to see the new library! We are having a "Sneak Peek" Open House from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the new library, 300 N. Main. Everyone is invited to take a self-guided tour and see the exciting progress! * If you're got talent, we want you for the Community Talent Extraordinaire, a variety show for all ages, which will be at 4 p.m. on July 18. Music, comedy, drama, dancing - whatever your talent, we would love to have you! Contact Nova Latta at novalatta@hotmail.com by July 12. Even if being on stage doesn't appeal to you, plan on coming out and watching the show, which will be at Hesston Mennonite Church. Light refreshments will be served following, and donations will be accepted for the new library furnishings. * If you love Tupperware and the library, here's your chance! The library is teaming up with local Tupperware consultant Lisa Weldon to offer an environmentally-friendly fundraiser! Stop by the library to see the items available, everything from storage containers to lunch boxes and water bottles, and the library keeps 40% of the total sales! We're also looking for people who want to share this fundraiser with family and friends to help us earn even more. The sale will be open through July 23. As always, thanks for your continued support. It is a privilege to serve you! Sincerely, Cari Cusick Hesston Public Library
